The TTS has sponsored several fan trips (charters) each year since it's inception in 1973. The majority of the charters have involved the Toronto Transit Commission's vehicles including buses, streetcars and trolley buses. Also, in the Society's most ambitious charters, subway trains were chartered for farewell trips to mark the end of service for the original red Gloucester trains (the first subway trains in Canada), and the "Montrealers" (the first Canadian built subway cars).Charters have also taken place outside the City of Toronto including southwestern Ontario (London, Kitchener, Brantford), eastern GTA transit properties (Ajax, Oshawa), western GTA transit properties (Burlington, Oakville, Mississauga), the Golden Horseshoe transit properties (Hamilton, St. Catharines, Welland), among others.
The TTS generally holds charters using unique transit vehicles, most often just prior to their retirement, often tracing historic routings.
The highlight of the TTS Fan Trips is "Transportation Weekend," which is held bi-annually on Labour Day weekend. The weekend usually includes two charters (usually one streetcar and one bus) as well as slide presentations. Transportation Weekend takes places during even numbered years (2008, 2010, etc.).

Barrie and Orillia Charter - Saturday, April 10, 2010
A Parkinson Coach Lines MCI coach wil be chartered for a tour of transit and intercity properties in Newmarket, Barrie and Orilia. A lunch stop at Weber’s in Orilia will also be scheduled as part of the itinerary. It is hoped that garage tours will be included in all three cities.
Departing at 9:15am from the northeast corner of the parking lot at Yorkdale Mall (by Silver City) in Toronto. This is just a short walk from the Yorkdale GO Transit Terminal and the Yorkdale Subway Station.
Returning at 6:15pm.

All TTS event participants (and/or parent/guardians of such participants) are required to review and sign an Event Waiver Form prior to participating in the Event. This Event Waiver Form must be printed and sent in with the event flyer. The event waiver is available in Microsoft Word format.

Niagara Falls Transit MCI Classic Charter - Saturday, April 17, 2010
MCI Classic #8937 is being requested which was recently repainted in the new colours of Niagara Falls Transit. The fan trip starts at the Niagara Transit garage at 12:00 noon finishing at 4:00pm.
